Parents

Each family day care home will be different, as each family day care educator will be.  There are however characteristics of the environment that will be common with all:

  • A pave where children will feel welcomed and belonging.
  • Clean, safe indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Variety of toys and equipment to meet the age and stage of children’s developmental needs.
  • Appropriate sized furniture and equipment suitable for young children.
  • Suitable areas for quiet and group play.
  • A suitable space where children can place their belongings with easy access.

iCare Family Day Care provides a service that meets National Quality Standards. All educators with iCare FDC must have a Police Criminal Check, working with children check, First Aid, Anaphylaxis training and Asthma Management. 

  • Quality care in a home based environment
  • Co-ordinating unit monitor and support educators on a regular basis
  • In-service training is provided carers with professional development
  • Age appropriate programs developed for all children
  • Member of National Family Day Care Council Australia
  • Carers may have up to 4 children under school age and 3 school aged children with a maximum of 7 children at any one time or 7 school aged children any one time.
  • The Coordination Unit also acts as administration support assisting with placement of children with carers, Child Care Benefit, enrolments and supporting families.

Fees and Charges

Fees and charges for childcare vary depending on factors such as,

  • Hourly rates charged for standard and non-standard hours.
  • Hourly rates charged for weekends and public holidays.
  • Minimum booking times and contracted hours agreed upon.
  • Cost of any meals and or transport.
  • Government subsidies such as child care benefit if applicable.
  • Our current fees are $12.50 per HR. (+ RedPay fees to use EFT )*
  • *Families with educators who have independent fee are charged according the agreed fee.
